The SAAB $3,000 Scholarships for Graduates and Undergraduates in South Africa – 2019/20

The South African Association of Botanist is currently receiving applications for their 2019/20 SAAB student grants worth up to $3,000 per candidate. To apply for this student grant offered by the Botanist association in South Africa, such applicant must have studied and graduated from an institution of higher learning in South Africa and passed with a minimum of 70% overall average grade.

This SAAB free student bursary is being awarded annually to students. Student seeking Honors at undergrad degree level will receive up to $1,000 for their degree education. Such student must be studying or planning to study in a field closely related to botanical science.

SAAB student grant can also be awarded to undergraduate students whom are at their final level – about to graduate from higher institution.

This association was created and established with the aim of maintaining and promoting the prominence of the Botany line of career across all professional fields and to assist carry out roles which meets the goals of the career.

The application closing date for the scholarship offered by SAAB is 27th February, 2019. Students applying at graduate degree level stand a chance to receive up to $3,000 for their Master Degree education in South Africa. Students seeking a grad or undergraduate degree in any field other than fields that are closely related to botanical sciences should not apply for this student grant as they will be disqualified. 

Three students will be awarded the SAAB free scholarship for their undergraduate studies. Only one candidate will receive the SAAB free bursary worth up to $3,000 for their grad degree studies; totaling it 4 scholarships to be awarded to students this year.

Not all African students can apply for this South African scholarship. Students originating from the following nations may apply for this student grant – Comoros, South Africa, Madagascar, Namibia, Tanzania, Mozambique, Zambia, Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mauritius, Lesotho, Malawi, Swaziland, Seychelles, and Botswana.

The SAAB scholarships designed for only four beneficiaries is purposed to be taken in South Africa.

  • Identity Document
  • Your CV (Containing the names and contact details of two referees)
  • A personally written letter of motivation
  • Names and financial values of other student grant programs you applied for.
